Tribeca Ateliers FAQ

  • Are you part of the Lego group?
    • No we are not. We are an independent company wishing to offer a place where people from all ages can play and create cool own creation. We use Lego bricks because we are fans since we were kids but also because we believe it has so much potential to connect people. All trademarks are owned by the lego group, pictures are from Bricklink and all purchase are made on Bricklink.
  • When do I receive the order?
    • Minifigures: The minifigures aren’t shipped. They are purchased and placed on a “global founding member” wall with your name under it. While purchasing the minifigure, you receive a free pass and invitation to the opening event. As founding member you have a special place in our hart and we welcome you anytime.
    • Membership card: We keep your membership card for pickup at our front desk. Shipping it is so unpersonal, we need to offer you a drink for believing in us. Looking forward meeting you!
  • Will I get my money back?
    • Yes! If you want to cancel your order, we totally understand and will wire your money back. Get in touch: info@atelierstribeca.com
  • What’s your background?
    • Thanks for asking! Our background is diverse :-)
    • Babs is a sports and Yoga teacher. She’s known for bringing structure in chaos.
    • Gilles is a business consultant. Loves whiteboarding and helping people with business ideas to get started. He guided multiple sales and marketing teams over the past 15 years.
  • Where in Gent will you start?
    • Great question! That’s part of the crowdfunding campaign. We’re exploring potential places but nothing finalised. It must be accessible, well-located, affordable and visible from the streets. If you have a good place, drop us a mail: info@atelierstribeca.com
  • Why do you need crowdfunding?
      • The plans we have in mind require quite a big amount. In Belgium, we’re talking to all major banks and the government for a loan. We believe we can reduce the amount to loan if we can involve the persons who will be visiting us and enjoy the Atelier and Salon as much as we will. It’s also a great test to evaluate the interest. Can we convince Lego aficionados to visit us at a discounted rate?
  • What’s the difference with Lego discovery center?
    • First, LDC are part of the Lego group / subsidiary. We are not, we just love what they make. Secondly the experiences are different. LEGO Discovery Centre Brussels is an indoor attraction center conceived and designed from the perspective of a child between the ages of 2 and 10. We believe Tribeca is complementary to this as we offer LEGO play time for all as a way to express your creativity and as a means for problem solving techniques.
  • Can we get in contact and partner with you?
    • Yes sure! Please reach out at info@atelierstribeca.com
